The Blinn College District has suspended all in-person GED/Pearson Vue testing until further notice.
The GED measures the outcome of a high school education. There are four test sections:
- Mathematical Reasoning - 120 minutes

- Social Studies - 75 minutes
- Reasoning through Language Arts (Reading & Writing) - 155 minutes
Who can take the GED?
Anyone 18 years or older who has not earned a high school diploma and has officially withdrawn from high school may sit for the test. 16- and 17-year-olds may also sit for the exam, but require more documentation as noted within registration.
How many tests can I take on a test day?
You can only register for one or two sections on a test day.

New Score Levels
As of January 2016, the GED with Honors score has been replaced by two new score levels that show you are ready for a college or a career training program and in some cases eligible to earn college credits.
|145 - 164||Pass / High School Equivalency|
|165 - 174||GED College Ready|
|175 - 200||GED College Ready + Credit|
Your scores are available the same day you test on your MyGED online account under the My Scores section.
The Certificate is issued approximately five business days after you pass the entire test battery – all four subject tests. TEA will email your initial certificate in a PDF file to the email address used to register for the exams.
